BDSRA Annual Family Conference: July 8-10, 2022
The Batten Disease Support and Research Association will hold their Family Conference this July 8-10, 2022 in Cleveland, OH. This will be a hybrid meeting, which means for the first time we will be able to meet in person, for those that can be there!
Registration will open April 11, with more details to appear at bdsra.org.
As usual, Jon will be running the Science Session, with pre-recorded video presentations from Batten scientists all over the world, followed by a live Q&A session.
Jon will also be presenting data at ENS 2022 the 6th International Symposium on “DEVELOPMENT OF THE ENS: THE FIRST 1000 DAYS”, which will be held in Ferrara, Italy at the end of April 2022.
WORLDSymposium 2022 Lysosomal Diseases Conference
The recent WORLDSymposium 2022 Lysosomal Diseases conference in San Diego saw two talks from the PSDL. One on our identification of enteric nervous system disease and its treatment with gene therapy (work with Bob Heuckeroth at CHOP, and Mark Sands from Washington University), and another on our work developing Enzyme Replacement Therapy for CLN1 disease in mice and sheep (with Mark Sands and with Tom Wishart, Roslin Institute Scotland).
NCL 2021 Conference
Washington University hosted NCL 2021 The 17th International Congress on Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinoses, which was organized by Jon Cooper. Originally planned for October 2020, it was held in October 2021 as a hybrid meeting due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
